Killing cancer is finally possible yet, the major pharmaceutical companies don't care...
Because the cure for cancer found by Canadian researchers is so simple and cheap -- when compared to the costly cancer drugs on the market, the major pharmaceutical companies are simply not interested.
This is the society we live in; the pharmaceutical companies are ruthless in their quest for money. If diseases would not exist, THEY WOULD NOT EXIST. Just like if everyone would start buying electric cars, the oil companies would cease to exist.
However, to refuse the dieing population the cure for cancer is horrible wrong. It's outrageous!
A Hidden Cure for Cancer?
It's human nature to find light in darkness as it is corporate nature to find profit in lack. Researchers at the Alberta University in Edmonton, Canada, have successfully cured cancer through a simple technique, yet there is no news either on the Web or on television about their important breakthrough. Scientists used dichloroacetate acid (DCA, currently used to treat metabolic disorders) to kill lung, breast and brain cancer cells.
First tested on rats, then on human's cells, the affected cells shrank when they were fed with water supplemented with DCA. So, why then there is absolutely no interest in the media towards this monumental discovery? Well, it's because the DCA cannot be patented, thus the pharmaceutical companies can't make any money out of it.
How does the DCA method works? In the human body there is a natural cancer fighting cell called mitochondrion (plural mitochondria). These mitochondria need to be triggered to begin fighting the cancer cells. Scientists used to think that the mitochondria were ineffective against cancer, so they focused on glycolysis instead. Glycolysis, the metabolic pathway that converts glucose (sugar) into pyruvate (an organic acid), was proved to be less effective in curing cancer and more wasteful by Alberta's researchers.
The pharmaceutical companies are currently focusing on the glycolysis method to fight cancer and they are doing it wrong: with no glycolysis, the body produces less lactic acid, so the bad tissue around cancer cells continues to seed new tumors, instead of breaking down. The DCA method on the other hand doesn't rely on glycolysis, but on triggering mitochondria to fight the cancer cells. So how does dichloroacetate, the hidden cure for cancer, achieves this?
Is There a Cure for Cancer?
Mitochondria cells contain a very important self-destruct button that can't be pressed in cancer cells. Because the cells refuse to be terminated (this process of programmed cell death is called apoptosis by the way), tumors will continue to grow larger and larger. Fully functioning mitochondria, thanks to DCA, can activate the apoptosis process and thus can die, stopping the cancer from spreading any further.
Since the pharmaceutical companies aren't interested on the DCA method, it's most likely that independent laboratories will take on this task. Further research needs to be conducted for the above findings to be confirmed and for the labs to start developing on their own the future cure for cancer.
