NASA explains why the world won't end in 2012 as "predicted" by the Mayans...
Why The World Won't End in 2012Ah... In my short living on this Earth I admit that I missed a couple of doomsdays, the last one being the Rapture on May 21st, 2011, and I deeply apologize for that. I know, I know, one should always be prepared for the inevitable "end of time," it's just that they were so many predictions of the end of the world throughout our history that I am sick and tired of these... charlatans, continuously taking advantage on the weaker, uneducated, minds. I mean, if these foreseers were genuine, they could at least predicted the Japan's nuclear crisis from last year, don't you think? I'm pretty sure that December 21 2012, won't be the end of the world as we know it. There's really no scientific background for this outrageous claim and no visible threats associated with 2012. Only an ignorant would believe that a mysterious planet (Nibiru, Planet X) is headed towards Earth and not even one single astronomer would have noticed it. Only an ignorant would believe that the Earth poles shifting would take a day or even a year; the last magnetic reversal took place over 400,000 years ago and it took thousands of years to complete. Only an ignorant would believe that an asteroid is heading toward Earth and the NEO (Near Earth Object) program and 1000s of astronomers would have entirely missed it. Other uninformed people believe that the end of the world would be caused by an alignment of planets, although there is no alignment whatsoever this year. I like how ignorant people talk about things beyond their mere understanding, such as the Earth's magnetic field, solar storms, mysterious planets and yes, not to forget, the secret NASA conspiracy. Doomsday 2012 According to NASAThe end of the world came and go so many times that I actually lost count! Take the false Millennium of January 1st, 2000, for example. People were scared, computers were supposed to crash the market, an immense cosmic wave was on its way, the Earth's magnetic poles were about to shift (rings any bells?), solar flares and major earthquakes were predicted. And what happened when the new millennium started? NOTHING! Oh, wait, my bad, something did happen: the end of the world was postponed (!) several months later, on 5.5.2000. Just like the May 21 2011 Rapture was postponed to October 21, the same year. And what happened at that date? NOTHING HAPPENED! These people have a f3tish for the number 21, the way I see it. I'm sorry to disappoint you, but the world will not come to an end on 21 December 2012 and NASA does a pretty good job at explaining why.
